COMFORT ZONE; WHY NOT?

You need to step out of your comfort zone, you need to do something about this situation, you just can't wait for things to happen... these words are quite familiar to the one who has established or inherited a comfort zone. In a bid to challenge our creativity the comfort zone has been demonized and has become the object of criticism, especially as a core factor that supports unrealized dreams. Well, I have a different opinion.

Firstly, the comfort zone is not a fixed concept or the contraption of a lazy mind. It is a dynamic, ephemeral and transient reality sustained by a strong desire for serenity. This cosseting environment is not given, it is either being worked for or had been worked for, and one thing central to its existence is that someone, at some point in time, thought it wise to create this niche of peace and quietude.
while I am not averse to its improvement or upgrade, I will by no means undermine the efforts associated with its emergence.

Secondly, most people are deceived by the idea that we all seek the same gratification. Some people deploy other peoples' privileged yardsticks of fortune and fame to measure their achievements and define fulfillment.
This dangerous mindset has become the bane of many, leading to depression and all sorts of mood and personality disorders. I deem it a colossal feat for anyone to carve a niche for himself in this inherently stifling world we live in, as evidenced by the hostilities associated with survival watered down as healthy competition.
It is funny how you never hear words like, move out of your danger zone, or stress zone, no matter the fatality involved with it, but these same sect are swift to take a swipe at your comfort zone. Converse to their thinking, ever wondered why it is always expected of a team to do better with home advantage? well, your guess is as good as mine. It is assumed they are in their comfort zone, which should support creativity and allay all forms of pressure.
Your comfort zone is not the cause of your present misfortunes, rather it is a memento housing the memoir of good times.

So, before you allude to your comfort zone as an evil realm and embrace the nothingness endorsed by public opinion, take a minute and think of the wager. Is where you are going better than where you are? are you just playing to the gallery or for your needs? and if at the end of the day you will be able to recreate your comfort zone, because that is your pride-land and only there can you be king unopposed.

When two rhythms meet, at first they are uncoordinated, but over time become harmonious, this should be the norm but sometimes we find that both rhythms remain out of sync bringing about a cacophony, disturbing to those who are unfortunate to be connected to this event by whatever means.
